In an interview leading up to his Game 3 start, Diamondbacks pitcher Brandon Pfaadt made an interesting revelation to reporters: he’s not a sports enthusiast and hasn’t watched prior World Series games.
According to Bob Nightengale at USA Today, Pfaadt bluntly stated, ‘I don’t watch sports, honestly.’
However, while Pfaadt might not be an avid sports watcher, he’s certainly making a name for himself on the field.
During this postseason journey, Pfaadt has been instrumental in his team’s success, contributing to four important wins.
Over his past three starts, he has allowed just two earned runs through 14 innings. And, in his past two appearances, the 25-year-old has struck out a combined 15 batters.
Now, the Diamondbacks will need him more than ever for Game 3 of the World Series.
